AAR CORP. Elects Jeffrey N. Edwards to Board of Directors

With immediate effect, AAR CORP., a preeminent supplier of aviation services to OEMs, MROs, and government and commercial operators, announced today that Jeffrey N. Edwards has been elected to the AAR Board of Directors. With this nomination, AAR’s Board now has 12 director slots instead of 11.

The 63-year-old Mr. Edwards has over 40 years of expertise in the financial services industry. Mr. Edwards puts the needs of the company’s clients first in his role as Partner and Vice Chairman of New Vernon Capital. He concentrates on investment portfolios, operations, and business development.

Mr. Edwards worked for Merrill Lynch for more than 20 years, holding a number of executive roles, including Chief Financial Officer, before joining New Vernon Capital.

Among the S&P 500 businesses he now serves on the boards of are Lead Independent Director of Raymond James Financial, Inc. and Chair of the Audit, Finance, and Risk Committee of American Water Works Company, Inc.

According to John M. Holmes, Chairman, President, and CEO of AAR, Mr. Edwards will be crucial in assisting with the implementation of our growth strategy and generating more value for our shareholders. He also adds extensive financial knowledge to the Board.
