Nancy King Appointed CTO of RB Global, Inc., Championing Diversity in Tech

Nancy King has been appointed Chief Technology Officer of RB Global, Inc., the reputable worldwide marketplace for insights, services, and transaction solutions for commercial assets and automobiles. Her position will take effect on June 3, 2024. Ms. King has a wealth of practical expertise leading information technology teams in Fortune 100 companies.

Her most recent position was Senior Vice President of Product Engineering at Target, where she oversaw the strategy, talent acquisition, and overall vision of the department. Since joining the company in 2005, she has been a key player in Target’s technological transformation and expansion. She has led the development of the company’s mobile apps, internet, marketplace, and capabilities services.

Jim Kessler, CEO of RB Global, described Nancy as a thoughtful and dedicated leader who is an innovator and culture builder. She provides a strong vision and develops solutions that improve relationships with clients to ultimately capture market share. Her guidance in this position will contribute to fortifying RB Global’s technological base, coordinating our teams and priorities with business and industry demands, and strengthening our culture of cooperation and curiosity—which adapts and stays at the forefront of the market.

In addition, Ms. King actively promotes diversity and a sense of belonging in her workplace and neighborhood. TWIST, or Target Women in Science and Technology, is a volunteer network of more than 200 women who are enthusiastic about inspiring young girls and women to pursue STEM fields. She acted as executive sponsor for the organization. In order to encourage unconventional career paths in engineering, she also assisted in the creation of the Emerging Engineers Program.
