Sanjiv Das has been appointed to the board of directors of Two Harbors Investment Corp., an MSR + Agency RMBS real estate investment trust, with immediate effect. Mr. Das is the President of Pagaya Technologies Ltd., a multinational technology business that provides artificial intelligence infrastructure for the financial ecosystem, and he has a wealth of experience in the mortgage market.
Stephen G. Kasnet, Chairman of the Board of Directors for Two Harbors, expressed his pleasure in announcing Sanjiv’s appointment to the board. Sanjiv’s breadth of knowledge in mortgage finance, his comprehension of consumers, and his leadership in thought leadership will be beneficial to our organization as we develop and refine our operational platform and business strategy.
Since October 2023, Sanjiv Das has held the position of President of Pagaya Technologies Ltd. In this capacity, he is in charge of Pagaya’s commercial business strategy and expansion. Prior to this, from 2016 until 2021, Mr. Das was the Chief Executive Officer of Caliber Home Loans, Inc. Before that, Mr. Das worked for KKR-owned First Data Corporation as Head of International Businesses from 2014 to 2016 and for Citibank, N.A.’s mortgage division from 2008 to 2013 as Chief Executive Officer, President, and Chairman of the Board. As a member of the Management Committee at Citibank, Sanjiv is well recognized for having played a key role in turning Citi around during the height of the financial crisis, which occurred from 2008 and 2013. Throughout his professional journey, Mr. Das has occupied prominent positions at Morgan Stanley, American Express, and Bank of America. Mr. Das was an active member of the Mortgage Bankers Association and served on the board of the Housing Policy Council. In addition, he is on the board of American Friends of the Cite du Vin and a member of The New York Philharmonic’s Leonard Bernstein Circle.
