Mark Anderson, a current member of Cloudflare’s Board of Directors, has been appointed as President of Revenue

Before joining Alteryx, Anderson played a key part in growing Palo Alto Networks from its pre-IPO status to an annualized revenue of over $2.5 billion. Prior to joining Palo Alto Networks, Anderson was also in charge of all sales operations at F5 Networks, where he contributed to the company’s rise to over $1 billion in yearly revenue.

He has been fortunate enough to collaborate closely with Mark ever since the latter joined the Cloudflare board of directors in 2019. Having spent the last four years serving on Cloudflare’s board of directors, he is aware of the remarkable quality of the company’s leadership group and product. He reached out to Matthew and Michelle to see if he could assist take Cloudflare’s go-to-market organization to the next level when he began to consider where he could have the biggest influence during the next phase of my career. Anderson will be in charge of Cloudflare’s sales team in addition to marketing and customer success operations, as part of a logical progression to further connect all go-to-market strategy and operations-related elements to maximize scale and expedite Cloudflare’s next stage of expansion. Marc Boroditsky, the former President of Revenue of Cloudflare, will step down and Anderson will take over. Boroditsky assisted in reorganizing Cloudflare’s sales team during his time there, allowing the company to continue expanding and winning over more business customers. Boroditsky will continue to serve as an advisor for Cloudflare during the changeover.

Marc Boroditsky, the previous President of Revenue at Cloudflare, expressed his pride in the sales organization’s accomplishments and his confidence that the team is more prepared than ever to take on the next chapter of growth. Since October 2020, Mark Anderson has most recently held the position of Chief Executive Officer at the software company Alteryx, Inc. He was employed by software business Anaplan, Inc. as a consultant and, from August 2019 to February 2020, as Chief Growth Officer. In his former role, Anderson oversaw sales, go-to-market (GTM), customer satisfaction, and business and corporate growth at the cybersecurity startup Palo Alto Networks. He held multiple management positions at Palo Alto Networks, including Executive Vice President, Worldwide Field Operations from May 2016 to August 2016 and Senior Vice President, Worldwide Field Operations from June 2012 to May 2016, where he assisted in developing GTM teams to support the company’s rapid expansion. It expanded to rank among the biggest security companies in the world during his time there. Prior to joining Palo Alto Networks, Anderson oversaw global sales operations at the IT infrastructure startup F5 Networks. He also held a number of managerial positions there, including Executive Vice President of Worldwide Sales. He formerly served in executive capacities at Cisco Systems and Lucent Technologies.

Since August 2019, Anderson has participated in the nominating and corporate governance committees of Cloudflare, and since January 2021, he has been a member of the pay committee. York University awarded him a B.A. in Business and Economics.
