Dan Abramson Joins NAM Board of Directors from FourKites

Dan Abramson, Senior Vice President and Head of Sales at FourKites®, a leading provider of real-time supply chain visibility, was appointed to the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM) Board of Directors today. Abramson’s joining of industry titans like Toyota, ExxonMobil, General Mills, and Dow Inc. will strengthen NAM’s position as a leader in worker solutions, legal action, legislative advocacy, and operational excellence.

Under the direction of its Board of Directors, the NAM was established in 1895 and is currently the biggest industrial trade association in the country. Many of the small manufacturers that drive the American economy as well as some of the most recognizable brands in the world are members of the NAM, which is the country’s most powerful advocate for manufacturing. Ninety percent of NAM members are small and medium-sized enterprises. The NAM’s efforts are spearheaded by executives on its Board, which consists of leaders from all sizes of businesses in every industrial sector.

FourKites’ revolutionary influence on the supply chain operations of the manufacturing industry is the reason NAM invited the company to join its board. Manufacturing heavyweights like Chevron, Dow, Cardinal Health, 3M, Rio Tinto, Eastman, and LyondellBassell trust FourKites because their solutions are built to tackle the most difficult problems facing manufacturers. By combining data from multiple systems, FourKites provides a unified view that helps manufacturers overcome cost constraints, enhance operational effectiveness, comprehend global macroeconomic trends, and simplify their network of suppliers, partners, and distribution channels. FourKites has demonstrated the effectiveness of these solutions by growing its customer base by 20% and shipments by roughly 10% in the manufacturing sector annually.

Being invited to join this society is a great honor, as NAM is the leading advocate for American manufacturers, according to Abramson. “FourKites has a fantastic potential to raise the profile of data and digital transformation in US manufacturing with this board appointment. He was thrilled about the chance to assist in creating supply chain policies on behalf of FourKites, providing us a say in choices that could support the manufacturing industry and the whole economy.

Abramson joined FourKites in 2023 with the goal of accelerating revenue growth throughout the company. Prior to joining FourKites, he oversaw one of the biggest revenue and personnel groups concentrating on the B2B software and services, manufacturing, transportation, and entertainment sectors at SAS as Senior Executive Director and General Manager.

NAM President and CEO Jay Timmons stated, “Dan is dedicated to our industry’s success, and the NAM will be stronger thanks to his service on their Board of Directors.” Dan will work with the NAM to promote a competitiveness agenda that supports manufacturers in their endeavors to boost employment, expand the economy, and enhance living standards. We will collaborate with legislators to thwart the onslaught of regulations, advance the tax reforms of 2017, obtain more updates to our antiquated permitting process, bolster the manufacturing workforce, and increase prospects for global product sales in this momentous year and beyond. In addition to promoting the principles of free enterprise, competitiveness, individual liberty, and equal opportunity that have made America great and our industry strong, I look forward to working with you as advocates for American manufacturing.
