USIC appoints Yuvbir Singh as CEO

The last position Mr. Singh held was Chief Executive Officer of Veolia Water Technologies and Solutions, a global supplier of equipment, chemicals, and digitally enabled services and products for resolving issues with water quality and availability. He had previously worked for the international corporation as a GE Company Officer, overseeing the drill, stationary power, mining, locomotive, and marine divisions. He held a variety of leadership positions during his 23-year tenure at GE, including Vice President of Global Locomotive Operations, Vice President of Equipment for GE Transportation, and General Manager of Engineered Systems for Water and Process Technologies. He also held positions in mergers and acquisitions, where he was involved in numerous strategic M&A transactions.

Yuvbir Singh has a proven track record of successfully implementing long-term growth strategies and corporate renewals for intricate businesses. Michael D. Penner, Chair of USIC’s Board of Directors, said that under his direction, USIC is well-positioned to benefit from trends in sector growth brought about by historically high levels of infrastructure investment. Yuvbir, who holds a degree in electronics engineering and has vast experience supervising innovative solution deployment across international field operations, is well-suited to revolutionize USIC’s operations by utilizing cutting-edge technologies to improve quality and efficiency while adding value for the utilities we cater to. The Board of Directors at USIC would like to express their gratitude to Ron Childress for leading the company as interim CEO and for always being willing to help Mr. Singh ensure a smooth transition.

Ron Childress will remain a board member and advisor to the company following the transfer. Childress stated that Yuvbir’s successful career in related industry roles has made him particularly qualified. Both USIC and our clients will gain from his wealth of knowledge and creative thinking. Serving as USIC’s interim CEO has been an honor, and He was excited to continue helping Yuvbir and the whole USIC team in my capacity as a board member.

Partners Group and Kohlberg & Company Kohlberg jointly own USIC. Partners Group made its first investment in USIC in 2017. In November 2022, it teamed up with a consortium led by Kohlberg, which included funds managed by Mubadala and Neuberger Berman.
