Bryce Freeman as COO and Bethany Frick as has been appointed as CEO

Experienced in brand building and leadership, Frick has worked for companies such as Total Wine and Diageo for more than 20 years. Being a seasoned leader, Bethany will undoubtedly be important to us as we go into our next stage of expansion. They’re excited to have someone of her caliber on our team, Sheila Weidenfeld, a co-owner, says.

In his role as COO, Bryce will be in charge of all business units inside the organization. Andras Kirschner, Head Grower, stated that Bryce brings a plethora of experience to his position as COO, particularly in the consumer packaged products industry (e.g., Procter & Gamble and McCormick & Co). He will be a great addition to us moving forward since he has a track record of growing companies to new heights and building high-performing teams that can generate profitable growth and open up new market opportunities.

The company is accelerating its product offerings as part of a growth strategy to fulfill the growing demand for high-quality cannabis. The business will open its flagship location in Union Market, D.C.’s hottest and fastest-growing neighborhood, in May of this year. We are eager to build a relationship with the Ward 5 community and to carry on our collaboration with City Council and the DC regulatory bodies (ABCA). Director of Commercial and Production Operations Grace Hyde says, Their goal is to hire locally and grow our team to 50 team members.

In an effort to make the most of its presence in Maryland, the business plans to open a 5,000 square foot facility later this summer. Together with its 82,000 SF glasshouse cultivation and packaging plant and its 23,000 SF processing facility, which is also scheduled to launch later this year, this will be the company’s third investment in Washington County. Since the beginning, we have operated in Hagerstown with an eye toward the long term. Our commitment to the community and business sector is evidence that we will continue to leave a lasting impact and, more importantly, that our stakeholder connections will persist. Kirschner says, We’re eager to see what lies ahead.
