Jon Brooks has been appointed as an independent non-executive director to the board of Itaconix, a leading inventor in sustainable plant-based polymers used to decarbonize everyday consumer items.

Jonathan was a Partner in the well-known Equity Capital Markets practice of the European legal firm Fieldfisher LLP until his recent retirement. He qualified as an attorney and later became a partner at Boodle Hatfield LLP. Before joining Fieldfisher, he was a partner and head of the capital markets group at Maclay Murray & Spens LLP.

Jonathan has represented customers in a wide range of industries, including technology, materials, healthcare, renewable energy, natural resources, and financial services, over his more than 35 years of experience. His background includes important business growth initiatives, where he has been a valuable advisor for multiple venture capital investments, IPOs, and fundraisings. In the global equity capital markets, he has handled transactions and provided legal, regulatory, corporate governance, and sustainability advice to a number of high-growth businesses.

Jonathan’s nomination as a Non-Executive Director enhances Itaconix’s leadership team even more. He has significant knowledge from the London Stock Exchange and international equity capital markets, which will help to fortify the company’s growth base.
