Karen Witts has been appointed as Chief Financial Officer of Dunelm Group plc, the UK’s top homewares company. Karen will join the Dunelm Board of Directors on June 9, 2022, succeeding Laura Carr, who will stand down on June 8, 2022.
Karen is a seasoned financial executive with extensive experience working with high-profile, consumer-facing brands. Her most recent post was Chief Financial Officer of Compass Group plc, a FTSE 30 international contract food, hospitality, and support services firm, which she held until October 2021.
Karen formerly served as the CFO of Kingfisher Group plc, a global home improvement retailer, from 2012 until 2019. Karen also worked for Vodafone Group plc between 2010 and 2012 in a variety of senior finance, strategic, and operational capacities, as well as for BT Group plc between 1999 and 2010.
With Ernst & Whinney, she became a Chartered Accountant. Karen was appointed as a Non-Executive Director to the Board of Ipsen Pharma, SA in January 2022.
