Maurizio’s journey began in Italy, where he refined his skills at various luxury hotels across the nation and Europe, including The Westin Excelsior, The Hotel des Bains in Venice, Italy, and The Hotel Cala di Volpe in Sardinia. He went on to have an illustrious career spanning over two decades in the heart of New York City.
Acknowledging the illustrious past and cherished tradition of this legendary resort, Maurizio expressed his honor at assuming the position as general manager at The Equinox. He is excited to work with and motivate our outstanding team in order to enhance each visitor’s experience and bring this historic property back to its former splendor.
Maurizio’s most recent position was as Area Managing Director at ROW NYC, which is the biggest independent hotel in New York City. There, he expanded the F&B services and routinely achieved the highest TripAdvisor rating. His work at The Michelangelo and his prior positions at prestigious hotels like Le Parker Meridien and The Westin New York Grand Central bear witness to his skill in hotel administration, which includes successful remodels, labor negotiations, and the creation of lucrative food and beverage concepts.
