Rob Greyber will take over as CEO of Vacasa

Rob Greyber

Rob Greyber has been appointed as CEO of Vacasa, the top vacation rental management platform in North America, beginning September 6.

He most recently held the position of President of Egencia, the fourth-largest travel management company in the world and a corporate travel company that was formerly owned by Expedia Group.

In a succession planning process that started earlier this year, Greyber is taking over as CEO from current CEO Matt Roberts.

In November 2018, Roberts joined the Vacasa Board. In February 2020, he was named interim CEO.
He was appointed full-time CEO in May 2020 at the Board’s request to steer the business through the pandemic. Roberts oversaw the strategic acquisition of TurnKey Vacation Rentals, helped Vacasa expand its gross booking value by over four times, and brought the company public in December 2021.

Greyber led a team of over 6,000 people while creating strategy and product direction for Egencia from 2009 to 2020, overseeing every area of the company as it rose to become one of the top travel management companies in the world.

He successfully established Egencia as a top SaaS platform during his time there, grew the company’s operations from five to 65 countries across the Americas, Europe, the Nordics, and Asia-Pacific, and assisted in the company’s six-fold increase in revenue while boosting EBITDA from breakeven to $110 million annually.

From 2009 to 2020, Rob Greyber held the position of President of Egencia, the business travel subsidiary formerly owned by Expedia Group (Nasdaq: EXPE), where he was in charge of formulating company strategy and managing international operations.
As Vice President, Partner Services Group, Greyber joined Expedia and was in charge of all facets of Expedia’s partnerships with airline partners in North America.
Prior to joining Expedia, Greyber held senior operating positions at a number of San Francisco-based, venture-backed digital companies.
Prior to that, Greyber worked as an associate in Hong Kong for the Mergers & Acquisitions department of Deutsche Bank.
He began working with Electronic Data Systems (EDS) as a systems engineer, which laid the groundwork for the rest of his career in the tech sector.
Greyber holds a Bachelor of Arts degree with honours in English literature from the University of Maryland, College Park, as well as an MBA with concentrations in finance and accounting from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
