In July 2006, the Los Angeles Advertising Agencies Association, the Ad Club of Los Angeles, and the Magazine Representatives Association merged to form ThinkLA, a nonprofit trade association devoted to developing the creative and intellectual infrastructure of the Southern California marketing community.
