The 52-year-old Mr. Tolia has been an investor in the company since September 2021 and has been on the board since November 2021. He also holds the position of Executive Chair of Hedosophia. Mr. Tolia was the chief executive officer of Nextdoor, Inc. from September 2010 to December 2018. He is one of the company’s co-founders. Prior to co-founding Nextdoor, Mr. Tolia held the positions of Chief Operating Officer at online retailer Shopping.com, Chief Executive Officer and co-founder of consumer review website Epinions.com Corporation, and Entrepreneur in Residence at Benchmark Capital. Mr. Tolia has been working mostly as an investor and counselor to early-stage online firms since December 2019. In September 2023, Mr. Tolia received the title of co-founding director of SMU’s Cox School of Business’ William S. Spears Institute for Entrepreneurial Leadership. He graduated from Stanford University with a B.A. in English.
