Marissa Kaliman has been appointed as Vice President of Compliance and General Counsel, a position that SAFCO is happy to announce.
Ms. Kaliman was the Associate General Counsel at Off Lease Only LLC, one of the biggest independent auto dealers in the nation, before joining SAFCO. In this role, she oversaw regulatory affairs, compliance, contract negotiations, insurance claims, and litigation in addition to leading the day-to-day operations of the legal department. Ms. Kaliman shown her ability to handle intricate legal environments by playing a significant part in multi-million dollar corporate and retail expansions.
Having worked at Givner Law Group, LLP, Akerman LLP, and O’Quinn Stumphauzer, P.L., Ms. Kaliman has a solid background in both corporate practice and litigation. Her noteworthy accomplishments include negotiating high-profile leases, spearheading in-state and out-of-state growth, and acting as special litigation counsel for a top mortgage lender.
Ms. Kaliman graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from Carnegie Mellon University and a Juris Doctor from American University Washington College of Law. The Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals, the Southern and Middle District Courts of Florida, the Southern and Middle Bankruptcy Courts of Florida, and the State of Florida have all granted her admission to practice.
