During his sixteen years of military duty in the U.S. Army Reserve (Airborne), Linear served as a logistics and judge advocate general officer, which helped shape his leadership and strategic acumen.
Lumen has revolutionized its industry and itself by implementing fundamental reforms. Linear expressed that he was inspired by the board’s emphasis on change and that he was looking forward to working with them and taking advantage of possibilities to keep the company moving forward.
Linear was general lawyer and corporate secretary at Convoy, Inc. before taking the helm of Community, Inc. She had executive positions at Nordstrom and Expeditors International of Washington, two Fortune 500 firms, for almost ten years prior to joining Convoy. Ms. Linear holds degrees from the University of Pennsylvania Law School and the University of Washington.
She is a member of the boards of directors of Community, Inc., Swedish Health Systems’ board of trustees, and Rainier Scholars, a nonprofit organization that promotes leadership development and college access. The corporation now has 12 board members instead of 11.
