Lisa Girard has been appointed as the new chief financial officer (CFO) of Veteran Benefits Guide (VBG), an organization that assists Veterans nationwide in navigating the VA’s disability compensation benefits procedure.

With decades of expertise in corporate finance, Girard offers strategic guidance to help businesses maximize and manage their investments, spending plans, financial reporting, risk management, compliance, and profitability. Girard, who is a big supporter of mentoring and leadership development, will oversee accounting and finance operations at VBG as the firm grows its services nationally to help more Veterans get the benefits they are entitled to.

According to Josh Smith, co-founder and chief executive officer of Veteran Benefits Guide, Lisa Girard is the ideal candidate to assist in achieving VBG’s purpose of serving America’s veterans because of her experience in the corporate finance sector. Lisa’s addition to VBG’s executive leadership team is a blessing, and we are eager to collaborate with her to strategically manage the company’s expansion in service of the Veteran community.

Girard comes to VBG from Las Vegas-based Bluberi Gaming, a creator of casino games. There, she supervised the finance and accounting departments of the business and expertly oversaw its quick turnaround. She held the position of CFO at EIS Wire and Cable, a company that made and supplied customized wires and cables to the US military, before joining Bluberi. She expertly guided her employers through a number of merger and acquisition transactions in her previous positions.

Girard expressed his gratitude for being a part of an organization that works to enhance the lives of American veterans by ensuring they receive the benefits they are entitled to. He was eager to help VBG fulfill its objective by making sure the business is ready to serve the requirements of the veteran community.

Girard graduated with a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth, and a master’s degree in accounting from Western New England University. She will be based out of the VBG headquarters in Las Vegas.

Veterans can quickly obtain the full disability benefits they are entitled to as a result of their service by using the Veteran Benefits Guide (VBG). More than 35,000 Veterans have benefited from VBG’s assistance since the organization’s creation in 2015, with a cumulative increase in lifetime benefits of $5.5 billion. By ensuring that Veterans submit complete, accurate claims to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), VBG’s reliable nationwide network of independent, credentialed medical service providers helps to reduce the backlog of VA cases, expedite the final benefits decision, and prevent the need for appeals. In addition to having operations in San Diego, California, VBG is headquartered in Las Vegas, Nevada.
