The exploration and development firm for strategic and precious minerals, Katoro Gold PLC, has announced that Sean Wade will likely be named non-executive chairman of the company.

Mr. Wade has worked in the junior resource development industry for a long time, and he has served on boards for numerous companies that cover a broad range of commodities and regions. He leads Katoro’s joint venture partner Power Metal Resources PLC, which is focused on a significant metal finding at the Haneti Project in Tanzania.

Mr. Wade held executive positions in mining firms such as Asia Resource Minerals PLC, Berkeley Energia PLC, and Pensana PLC before that. He has experience working on a wide range of capital markets transactions in a number of different exchanges and jurisdictions, including M&A, secondary capital raising, and initial public offerings (IPOs). His broad network includes family offices, institutional funds, and private wealth, among other capital providers.

The sole prerequisite for Mr. Wade’s appointment is the successful completion of the stock market due diligence, which includes becoming a Nominated Adviser. This is a routine procedure that must be followed when directors are appointed to the board of an AIM company.
