Atkin will oversee the Bloodstock team in London by establishing the growth strategy for Bloodstock and identifying and developing innovative products for the bloodstock industry’s brokers and clients. In addition to these responsibilities, he will continue to cultivate new and existing broker relationships while upholding the superior service standards that Markel’s broker partners and their policyholders value.
Since his inception as a Bloodstock underwriter at Markel more than six years ago, Atkin has exhibited outstanding leadership and portfolio management abilities, all of which contributed to his recent promotion. He will continue to report directly to Juliet Redfern, Divisional Managing Director of Equine and Livestock at Markel International in London and France, from his new position, which he will oversee from Markel’s London office.
