United Oil & Gas plc, a growing oil and gas company with assets in production, development, exploration, and appraisal, is pleased to announce Peter Dunne’s appointment as Chief Financial Officer (‘CFO’), effective immediately.
At the completion of the Company’s upcoming Annual General Meeting on June 1, 2022, Peter will be named a Director and Company Secretary.
David Quirke will resign as a Director and Company Secretary on the same day, but will remain at United to help with the transition.
Peter comes to us from Boru Energy Limited, a West African-focused private oil and gas business, where he served as CFO. He has over 20 years of experience in top finance leadership roles, including 14 years in the upstream oil and gas sector.
Peter formerly worked at Origin Enterprises plc as Group Finance Director and at Petroceltic International plc for seven years, most recently as Corporate Finance Director.
During his stint at Petroceltic, the company amalgamated with Melrose Resources plc, resulting in the larger business operating in North Africa, the Mediterranean Basin, and the Black Sea, with a total operating output of over 25,000 boepd.
