Michael Goedde has been appointed as the new President of Bioforum, the Data Masters, a renowned contract research organization (CRO) that provides biometric services and solutions to the worldwide clinical trials market. Goedde, a specialist in clinical data administration with more than thirty years of experience in the life sciences sector, will spearhead the creation and implementation of Bioforum’s worldwide expansion and innovation strategy.
Goedde will manage the expansion of Bioforum’s industry-leading suite of biometric services and solutions as well as the creation of strategic alliances to support this endeavor. He will draw on his significant expertise leading multinational teams and scaling CROs. He will answer to Amir Malka, the CEO and co-founder of Bioforum.
Michael is exceptionally qualified for this crucial leadership role, according to Malka, because of his demonstrated expertise in biostatistics and clinical data management, as well as his wealth of experience working for pharmaceutical companies, biotechs, and CROs. He also has an unwavering commitment to excellence in clinical research. He was thrilled to welcome Michael to the Bioforum family and was certain that his leadership would be crucial in advancing our long-term development and success as we increase our footprint in North America and beyond.
Along with expanding its offerings in clinical data management, biostatistics and statistical programming, medical writing, and solutions to drive the automation of crucial biometric study procedures, Bioforum has added an executive team member. These include the technologically advanced tools from Bioforum for risk analysis and validation (Validify), visual analytics (BioGrid), and SDTM dialogue (JetConvert).
Goedde comes to Bioforum from ICON plc, where he was Vice President of Global Data Operations, in charge of over 600 data operations specialists, and in charge of creating and carrying out the clinical data management strategies driven by data science and biometrics for the organization. Goedde worked at Parexel for four years before joining ICON, holding progressively more senior positions, the most recent of which was Vice President of Global Data Operations. He oversaw the work of over 900 data operations specialists and the global business unit for database programming and clinical data management at Parexel. Goedde worked in clinical data management positions at MedImmune, Human Genome Sciences, Kos Pharmaceuticals, Sanofi, Aventis Pharma, and Hoechst Marion Roussel earlier in his career before moving to the CRO industry. In these roles, he helped to approve a number of new drugs in the therapeutic areas of immunology, oncology, and the central nervous system.

As a champion of the clinical data management field and a regular presenter at significant industry gatherings, Goedde was the Chair of the SCDM Board in 2020 and a member of the Society for Clinical Data Management (SCDM) Board of Trustees from 2017 to 2021. He graduated from Computer Lern Zentrum (CLZ) Hoechst AG in Frankfurt, Germany, with a bachelor’s degree in computer science.
