From December 2019 to June 2023, Ms. Franchi, 57, held the position of Chief Financial Officer at Replimune Group, Inc., a biotechnology business. Ms. Franchi was the Chief Financial Officer of Merrimack Pharmaceuticals, Inc., a biopharmaceutical firm, from August 2017 to May 2019. She was the Chief Financial Officer, Treasurer, and Secretary of Dimension Therapeutics, Inc., a biotechnology business, from August 2015 to July 2017. Ms. Franchi was Chief Financial Officer of molecular genetics information provider Good Start Genetics, Inc. from February 2012 to July 2015. Ms. Franchi worked at Sanofi S.A. from 1995 to 2011, holding a number of roles, such as vice president of finance and controller for the product line and international group, senior vice president of corporate finance, and vice president of finance and business unit finance. Ms. Franchi graduated from Hofstra University with a B.B.A.
Jonathan Yu, the company’s former chief business officer, was elevated to the position of chief operating officer, effective February 7, 2024, according to DISC MEDICINE, INC. As a result of his promotion, Mr. Yu will take on the role of chief operational officer for the company, effective on the Promotion Date.
Jonathan Yu was the company’s Senior Vice President of Corporate Development from July 2020 to August 2021. He has been the Chief Business Officer from August 2021. Prior to that, in October 2018 to July 2020, he held the position of Vice President of Corporate Strategy, Finance, and Operations at the biotechnology business Qpex Biopharma, which he co-founded. Before joining Qpex, Mr. Yu worked for The Medicines firm, a pharmaceutical firm, from July 2013 to July 2018. He held a number of executive positions there, the most recent of which was Vice President of Corporate Development and Strategic Planning. Additionally, Mr. Yu has worked in a range of positions in business development, finance, and commercial planning and assessment at SR One, Acceleron Pharma, and Johnson & Johnson. Mr. Yu graduated with honors from Harvard College with an A.B. and the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School with an M.B.A.
