A closed-end fund advised by Duff & Phelps Investment Management Co., DTF Tax-Free Income 2028 Term Fund Inc., announced today that Dusty L. Self has been named Chief Investment Officer by the Fund’s Board of Directors, and that Phillip Hooks, CFA, has joined the Fund’s portfolio management team.
Ms. Self joined the Fund in 2022 as a Vice President and portfolio manager, and she has been the primary portfolio manager since June 2023. Ms. Self has over thirty years of experience with municipal programs that are investment grade. Mr. Hooks has 19 years of experience in the business, with a focus on municipal bond research and portfolio management. Ms. Self and Mr. Hooks work for Duff & Phelps Investment Management Co. and Seix Investment Advisors1, respectively, which are associated managers and subsidiaries of Virtus Investment Partners.
The fund’s president and chief executive officer, David D. Grumhaus, Jr., stated that Dusty did an excellent job as the main portfolio manager for DTF and that her ascension to CIO was a natural next step. He also expressed confidence in the team’s continued strength following Phil’s appointment as portfolio manager.
