Charlotte Jones has been named Chief Financial Officer and Executive Director of Aviva plc, effective September 5, 2022. Charlotte formerly served as Interim Chief Executive Officer of the RSA UK & International business and as Chief Financial Officer of RSA Insurance plc.
Charlotte has had a long and successful career in financial services, including serving as the CFO of Jupiter Fund Management plc, where she was a member of the Board and Executive Committee and was in charge of finance and corporate strategy.
She formerly worked at Credit Suisse Group as Head of Group Finance and Deutsche Bank Group as Deputy Group CFO. EY was where she began her career.
The PRA and FCA must both approve Charlotte Jones’ appointment.
Charlotte Jones will begin working at Aviva on September 5, 2022. Colin Simpson, the current CFO of Aviva Canada, will serve as Interim Chief Financial Officer following Jason Windsor’s resignation and until that date. Colin will join Aviva’s Executive Committee during that time but will not be a member of the Board. Regulatory approval is required for both appointments.
Charlotte Jones’ salary at £675,000 is comparable to that of the current CEO, Jason Windsor, and is established in accordance with the Directors’ Remuneration Policy, which was adopted by shareholders in 2021.
