Rita Liu promoted to CEO of Mode Global Holdings

Rita Liu has been appointed as CEO of Mode Global Holdings PLC, the LSE-listed Fintech Group, with immediate effect. Before joining the Mode board in March 2020 as Chief Commercial Officer, Liu held top positions at financial giant Alipay in Asia, the United States, Canada, and as CEO in the United Kingdom for almost a decade. Liu, who is widely regarded as one of the most powerful female personalities in the fintech industry, will be in charge of leading Mode ahead and ensuring that the company meets its short-term development goals as well as its long-term objective of becoming a disruptor that connects fintech and crypto. Jonathan Conway, Mode’s Chief Technology Officer, has been elevated to the company’s executive board with immediate effect. Jonathan’s addition to the board underscores Mode’s dedication to building the greatest technology to help drive the Company’s growth. He has vast experience in fintech, payments, and crypto. Mode is focusing its plan to become the UK’s premier regulated all-encompassing crypto app with these appointments. With payment, reward, and trading tools already in place, Mode is looking to improve the app’s usability while also introducing features that will help to create a digital asset ecosystem, allowing users and companies to pay, earn, save, and be paid in crypto all in one location. Mode has enlisted the help of Marex Group, a financial services provider, to help the company accelerate its expansion. “Our vision is for Mode to become the UK’s first regulated crypto super app,” said Rita Liu, Chief Executive Officer of Mode, in response to her appointment.
