With effect from July 13, 2022, Mr. Alex Finn has been appointed by the Board of abrdn Asia Focus plc as the Chairman of the Audit Committee and a non-executive independent director of the company.
Prior to his retirement on June 30, 2022, Mr. Finn served as a partner in PwC’s global financial services division for 27 years.
Throughout his time at PwC, Mr. Finn was in charge of overseeing the services PwC offered to some of its biggest worldwide clients, all of which had sizable operations in Asia.
He also served as PwC’s EMEA insurance leader, a member of the EMEA FS leadership team, and the leader of several of PwC’s largest international audit engagements. He was also in charge of assisting clients with large-scale accounting and financial change initiatives.
Mr. Finn has not served as a director of another publicly traded company in the previous five years. He is currently a director of Cembra Money Bank AG, which is listed on the SIX in Switzerland.
