James Mugambi Assumes Role of Manager of Development and Community Relations at Larisoro Mine

The appointment of Mr. James Mugambi as the Community Relations and Development Manager at the Larisoro Manganese Mine and the start of community engagement programs and activities in Samburu County, Kenya are both proudly announced by Marula Mining, a mining and development company with an emphasis on Africa.

The Larisoro Mine has appointed Mr. James Mugambi as Manager of Development and Community Relations. Mr. Mugambi has a wealth of experience in developing and engaging communities. He gained this expertise directly through years of work as the site manager at the Larisoro mine, where he has been overseeing day-to-day operations since 2022. In this capacity, he participated in community affairs by organizing events and carrying out CSR programs, establishing himself as a reliable community member.

Mr. Mugambi’s new position will involve managing community interaction with the goal of improving well-being and carrying out development initiatives that have an impact. As the leader of Marula’s efforts to promote goodwill and sustainable development in the communities surrounding our business, Mr. Mugambi is capable and well-prepared.

Mr. Mugambi will collaborate closely with the company’s ESG and social corporate responsibility manager, Ms. Eunice Wairima, who is headquartered in Nairobi. Additionally, he will work closely with Ms. Hannah Wang’Ombe, the independent non-executive director who chairs the company’s environmental and social responsibility committee.

Marula is happy to announce that, in addition to Mr. Mugambi’s appointment, extensive community involvement projects will now be launched in Samburu County, Kenya, in collaboration with GIM.

The Company is adopting programs that are centered around trust, communication, and collaboration as well as successful community engagement and collaboration in an effort to effectively interact with all significant stakeholders and the local communities at the Larisoro Mine.

In light of its intended investment to buy new mining and processing equipment at the Larisoro Mine in order to increase monthly production of manganese ore, the Company will prioritize hiring locals, develop skill development initiatives, give preference to purchasing from local suppliers, and assist local companies involved in the mining value and value addition chain at the Larisoro Mine.

The Company’s dedication to social responsibility and sustainable development across all of its operating activities will reach a new high with the launch of these programs.

Additionally, the company is suggesting that it now collaborate with GIM and the Mayflower Children’s Foundation to refurbish the Nakwamor Primary School, which is close to the Larisoro Mine. Improvements to the school’s infrastructure, the provision of books, stationary, and other educational supplies, new desks, and a supply of playground and sports equipment are all included in this work.

The Kinusi Copper Mine, the Nyorinyori Graphite Project, the NyoriGreen Graphite Project, the Bagamoyo Graphite Project, and the Blesberg Lithium and Tantalum Mine and Korridor Lithium Project in South Africa, as well as the Nkombwa Hill Project in Zambia, are among the high-value mine projects in Africa in which Marula Mining, an African-focused battery metals exploration and investment company, has interests. While we progress with these battery metals-focused ventures, Marula will keep growing and extending its stakes in additional superior African projects.

The directors of Marula think that investing in sophisticated, high-value mining projects across East, Central, and Southern Africa will yield profits for the company’s stockholders. The Board and management team want to position Marula as a successful, sustainable, socially and ecologically conscious producer of commodities and essential metals that are strategically important to modern technology and the world economy.
