Amanda Blanc has been added to the board of directors of BP plc (“bp”) as a non-executive director. Amanda’s tenure will begin on September 1st, 2022.
Since 2020, Amanda Blanc has served as Group CEO of Aviva plc, the top insurance, wealth, and retirement company in the UK. She was formerly CEO of Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Global Banking at Zurich Insurance Group as well as Group CEO of AXA UK, PPP & Ireland. She has also served in executive leadership capacities with Commercial Union, Groupama Insurance Company, and Towergate Insurance Brokers. The UK Transition Plan Taskforce, co-chaired by Amanda, is creating a benchmark for the climate transition plans of UK businesses.
