Carl Riccadonna has been named Chief U.S. Economist for Markets 360TM

Carl Riccadonna has been named Chief U.S. Economist for Markets 360TM, the bank’s market strategy and economics business, by BNP Paribas, the premier global bank.
Mr. Riccadonna and his team at BNP Paribas will be in charge of providing clients with a macro picture of the US economy, as well as short- and long-term forecasts based on geopolitical events, central bank policy, and other market movements. He will report to Luigi Speranza, Chief Global Economist, and John Gallo, Global Head of Sales and Head of Global Markets Americas.

Mr. Riccadonna has a lot of experience turning his macroeconomic trend assessments into actionable intelligence at the industry, sectoral, and regional levels. He comes to BNP Paribas from Bloomberg L.P., where he was Chief U.S. Economist and Head of Economics Research for the Americas, as well as Bloomberg Intelligence’s Chief Industry Economist. He provided in-depth analysis of significant economic trends for the Bloomberg Professional service, a source for real-time and historical financial data, news, research, and analytics, in these roles.

Mr. Riccadonna formerly worked with Deutsche Bank for 13 years, eventually rising to the position of Senior U.S. Economist after migrating from Fixed Income Strategy.
He assisted the economics research team at Deutsche Bank in consistently achieving top industry rankings.


Mr. Riccadonna has contributed to numerous research articles, is a frequent and visible speaker at high-profile industry events, and appears as a guest commentator for the media on a regular basis.
At Princeton University, he studied both mechanical/aerospace engineering and finance.
